As part of my graduation gift, my parents gave me tickets to see the show Hamilton in Chicago. Knowing every word to every song after listening to the soundtrack on repeat for quite some time, I was more than excited to see it live. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed!

My mom and I drove to stay with friends in Evanston, just north of Chicago, Friday night. This weekend was also Lake Forest’s Homecoming weekend, and the soccer team had two home games. Saturday morning we drove up to campus and were able to see the team play Monmouth College, whom they beat 3-0.

Saturday night, we ate dinner in downtown Chicago at Italian Village and after finishing early, spent some time wandering around Target (classic). We then went to the theater and got our seats. The show was everything I expected and more.

Sunday morning, we visited with family before returning to Lake Forset to see the team play Knox College. After a tough game, LF won 1-0 with off a corner with two minutes left in the game. Watching them play this weekend had made me even more excited to join the team next fall!

Check out the quick video I put together of our weekend in Chicago!

Much love,

Hannah
